3 Simple Steps

How to Format Phone Numbers in Excel/CSV

Format and review a phone-number list without maintaining complex spreadsheet formulas.

1

Paste or Upload

Copy your phone number column from Excel/Google Sheets, use raw text, or upload a CSV. Source in text file data must be comma or newline formatted.

2

Format & Clean

Select E.164, National, or another supported output. PrimeDialPRO checks NANP length and standardizes ready numbers.

3

Copy to CRM or Excel

Copy ready entries as text or export structured CSV, TXT, or JSON. Confirm the destination system’s import requirements before using production data.

E.164 Format Standardization

Many CRM and calling workflows accept E.164-style numbers because the leading country code makes records easier to exchange between systems.

PrimeDialPRO currently handles 10-digit North American numbers and 11-digit numbers that begin with 1. It removes common punctuation, separates extensions, and can emit a consistent +1 E.164-style result. It does not verify whether a number is assigned or reachable.

Avoiding Spreadsheet Number Damage

Spreadsheets can display long phone values in scientific notation or remove leading zeroes. Import phone columns as text whenever possible. PrimeDialPRO flags scientific notation for review because it cannot prove that the displayed value still contains every original digit.

Client-Side Privacy

PrimeDialPRO's core list processing runs locally in your browser instead of sending the phone-number list to our server. That reduces data exposure, but your organization remains responsible for its own privacy and compliance requirements.
